SHELTER * SUPPORT * SOLUTIONS
MISSION: From homelessness to coming home, Pillars provides shelter, support, and solutions to address the housing needs in our community.
Together we are working to provide food to those that are hungry, shelter for those that have none, hope for a brighter future. The mission statement of the United Methodist Church calls us to “Make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.” We do that every month as we feed the hungry at Pillars by preparing the table with a hearty meal and providing tangible proof of Jesus’ care and provision. Yes, it is only soup and sandwiches (and dessert, of course) but it is more to the clients of Pillars. It shows the love and care of a group of strangers who expect nothing from them but are willing to share a smile, a laugh and the joy of being a disciple of Christ. We provide a spark of Hope – that there is a hand up available – that they are not forgotten – that they are valuable – that they matter!
Join us for a night of fellowship, a night of laughter, a night of being a disciple as we join hands to work hard, gather on a Saturday night to make a difference, and be blessed in a way that is beyond our human understanding. You will be thanked over and over again but it is those clients that are so grateful for a simple meal and a friendly smile that provide the true blessing.
