What did you imagine and expect when you decided to follow Jesus? Many Christians tend to imagine potential suffering or pain because of the crucifixion. Also, Jesus’ following words scare us from taking His way: “If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me” (Matthew 16:24) However, the reward of following Jesus is not suffering or pain, but joy. This joy is indescribable, one the world cannot give us. “I have said these things to you so that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete” (John 15:11). What kind of joy is it? Do you have this joy in your life now? How can we have this joy in our lives? This worship service is designed to help you to reflect on joy in our lives while following Jesus.
