When it comes to Jesus and His way of life, we cannot miss the crucifixion. All His ministries and life are important, but the cross could be seen as the climax of his ministry and life. It is not coincidence that you see the cross in all churches as the main symbol regardless of its denomination. What does this cross tell us regarding following Jesus? Jesus said to his disciples: “If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.” What does that mean? What is the meaning of the cross Jesus carries? What is our own cross we should take up to follow Jesus? Today’s worship service is designed to see Jesus on the cross and reflect on it in relation to our own journey to follow Him.
