The Good Shepherd is an image we all recognize and love. Today we will look at what being a good shepherd is all about and what being a “sheep” in the Good Shepherd’s flock means. We want the protection and benefits of being part of the flock with the freedom to go our own way when we feel like it. We want the shepherd to come to our rescue when needed but don’t want to be bound by fences and walls even if that means safety. We all want to be the prized lamb without the sacrifice. We want to be part of the Good Shepherd’s flock without having to be good ourselves.
