Today is the first Sunday of Lent. During this traditional period, I designed the worship service to help our church members reflect on the real meaning of following Jesus. Certainly, we have been trying to follow the way of Jesus through our worship, prayer, meetings, missions, and ministries. That is why we are here as the body of Christ. That is why we are here to worship God. From a certain perspective, following Jesus is familiar to us in our daily lives. However, paradoxically, this familiarity distracts us from sincerely following Jesus, depriving us of authentic joy and excitement from a relationship with Jesus Christ. During these 6 Sundays of Lent, let’s explore the meaning of following Jesus and walk with Jesus once again with indescribable joy and excitement. In particular, today, we will talk about the invitation of Jesus toward us. Let’s think about how Jesus invites us today and how we respond to it.
