Youth Class and Youth Group
The Youth Class is a casual time for youth in 5th – 12th grade to connect in faith activities, while supporting each other with our God-given talents and participating in community projects. Class is held every Wednesday evening during the school year from 6:00 – 7:15 PM at the City Site. After youth and adult volunteers are checked in, there’s video-based learning in the Youth Room with the entire group. Classes are then split into Middle School and High School, which gives the youth and adult leaders a chance to continue the lesson in smaller groups. One Wednesday per month is a set aside for fun activities and service projects. For more details, please contact the church office.
Confirmation
Confirmation refers to the decision a young person makes to respond to God’s grace with intentional commitment, publicly reaffirming their baptismal vows before the congregation, and having the option to become a professing member of the church. During confirmation class, confirmands learn about the meaning of Christian faith, the history and teachings and the United Methodist Church and an explanation of the baptismal and membership vows they will be professing. Confirmation classes are held periodically, depending on the number of young people in the appropriate age range who are serious about growing deeper in the faith and their relationship with the church. For more details, please contact the church office.
